What to expect

Our goal is to make your first visit feel like you have come home…for indeed, you have! The following is a snapshot of what you can expect as a guest at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
What to Wear
God’s house doesn’t have a dress code so neither do we. Worshipers at SPUMC wear everything from shorts and polo shirts to business casual. Our service provides a “come as you are” casual atmosphere for worship. Feel free to wear clothing that allows you feel comfortable.
Entering the Church
Our sanctuary is located in the center of our property. So, from the main parking lot off C Street, you can easily see where you’re headed.
At each entrance, greeters welcome everyone with smiles and ushers will provide you with a bulletin. They can answer any questions you may have, but if the greeter doesn’t know the answer, he or she will certainly know who to ask or where to find it.
The Worship Experience
You will be greeted again as you enter the sanctuary. As you enter, find a seat where you’ll be comfortable. If you need an assistive hearing device, ask an usher or Media Tech located in the back of the Sanctuary and they’ll check one out to you.
Our service is about 60 to 75 minutes long and begins with contemporary music. During announcements we’ll fill out Friendship Register for attendance and prayer requests card if you have a special prayer request. While we hope you’ll let us know you came, you’re under no obligation to do so.
During With The Moments With The Children , the children come forward for their time with the Pastor, after which, they’ll be lead over to Sunday School.
Other elements you may experience are congregational prayer, scripture reading, offering and each week, Pastor Anna presents a message which we believe will engage and inspire you.
If you want to experience Communion, plan to attend on the first Sunday of the month. We have a variety of special Sundays throughout the year so chances are you’ll find something special happening when you arrive.
What Happens After Church
In a word…Fellowship! Join us in the Turning Point Cafe or on the patio for light refreshments. Greet Pastor Anna and ask her any questions you might have about your visit and our church. If you have kids, you’ll want to be ready to pick them up within 10 minutes after the service.
